The automated phone number to check balances or change a PIN is (844) 359-3104. You can also call the Customer Service at (800) 841-1410. The messages when you call are set up for WIC and can are confusing for Seniors. Please see below cheat sheets to make it easier for Seniors.

Which Vendor ID to use?

If a grower sells at farmers markets and a farm stand, they will have two Vendor ID numbers.
– If the business name is the same for both, one will have a FM after it for Farmers Market. The other will have a FS after it for Farm Store.
– If the business name is NOT the same for both, then there will not be a FM or FS after the number. In that case, the first number listed is for the Farmers Market and the second is for the Farm Stand.

Scanning QR codes

You need to use the “Back Camera” to scan the QR code. Scanning the QR code can be fiddly.
– Try making sure that the QR code is flat.
– If it doesn’t work, then it could be because the shopper’s benefits are not yet activated. This was more of a problem in June and should be happening less and less.

If a shopper’s QR code is smudged or hard to read, the person can call Customer Service and have their QR code emailed or texted to them. Seniors can also call their local senior organization where they got the card and request a new one.

PIN numbers

The shopper is supposed to enter their PIN number. If they have not yet set up a PIN, the cue on the Vendor Portal will say “Date of Birth. (MM/YY)”
– Shoppers may want growers to enter PIN
– Growers may not want to give shoppers their phone
– Try to wash your hands often, have sanitizer out, or use gloves if possible
