Renton Farmers Market

The Renton Farmers Market is hiring for seasonal Farmers Market Laborer positions to help with hands-on operations of the farmers market. Under the direction of the Farmers Market Coordinator, the Farmers Market Laborer will maintain and support the onsite, weekly operations of Renton Farmers Market. They will assist with setup and take down of equipment and materials on each market day. This position will work every Tuesday from June 4 through September 24, 2024 for 8-10 hours each market day, with occasional additional hours and days for pre- and post-market day duties and special projects. Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, farm program assistant to work with the farm team this summer from May through September. You will work at the Pike Place Market! Under the general direction of the Senior Daystall Farm Program Specialist II and the farm team, the Seasonal Farm Program Assistant has the primary responsibility of assisting with the operation of summer farmers markets, packing and distributing Market CSA shares, various Food Access initiatives, and assisting with occasional additional hours with special projects. WSFMA Regional Leads

Regional Leads are part-time, contracted positions that provide technical assistance to farmers markets so that they are able to offer WIC and Senior FMNP, SNAP, and SNAP Market Match to SNAP-eligible individuals and families. Regional Leads also collaborate with farmers markets and local agencies (e.g., Dept of Health, WSU, Meals on Wheels, Senior Centers, WIC clinics, etc.) to support projects at farmers markets that promote healthy eating and active living. In some cases, Regional Leads may be involved with trainings, distributing information, and other projects that support food access programs at farmers markets.
