In the spring of 2025, the Washington State Farmers Market Association, in partnership with Arrowleaf Consulting, conducted a statewide survey of farmers market growers and other vendors. This survey helps us know what vendors value, what issues matter to farmers and other vendors, and what resources are truly useful.
The survey was sent to over 650 growers who had participated in the FMNP program. We also encouraged farmers markets to directly promote the survey to other vendors. The survey was available in English and Spanish. Thank you to the 423 farmers market vendors who responded to the survey and shared their information and perspectives!

Our goals are to understand and characterize:
- The diversity of Washington farmers market growers and vendors;
- Important factors in vendors’ decisions to sell at farmers markets in general and at specific farmers markets;
- Farmers’ participation in and experiences with farmers market food access and nutrition programs; and
- The information, resources, and other supports needed by farmers market vendors.
ℹ️ PDFs of the survey are available to download in English and Spanish.
