Growing up in the Seattle area, Bear developed a passion for equal access to sustainable and local food. She has a connection to the land and appreciation for the farmers and small businesses who work to bring fresh goods and produce to local markets. She brings loads of experience working with small businesses and admin systems. Working closely with the Seattle Neighborhood Farmers Markets as a vendor, she grew a deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication farmers market organizations, managers and vendors put in every day, as well as the importance of supporting local markets and creating equitable food access. As the Administrative Associate for the WSFMA, Bear will provide support to keep the organization operating smoothly to continue to provide programs and advocacy to our markets. She is a dedicated gardener, crafter and dog mom and is deeply rooted in a love for nature and the outdoors. With a firm belief that everyone deserves access to fresh, locally grown food, Bear continues to be an advocate for both farmers and the community, working to strengthen the bonds between them. Bear joined the WSFMA in January 2025.
