WSFMA’s Board of Directors is comprised of farmers market organizers, partners, and community members who are elected by WSFMA member farmers markets at the annual meeting. The Board’s ensures that the WSFMA pursues its mission with the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and fairness and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. An effective Board of Directors is critical to WSFMA’s fulfillment of its mission. WSFMA Board Expectations.
The WSFMA Board of Directors meets monthly via a video (Zoom) call, usually the third Thursday of the month at 8:00 am. All Board meetings are open to the WSFMA member markets. Board members are volunteers who serve a 2-year term in accordance with the WSFMA Bylaws.

Pamela is a farmer in the Olympia area who keeps a variety of company with her Angus cattle, spotted hogs, and chickens for meat, eggs, and breeding. In addition she has 5,000 square feet of gardens, raises honey bees. She also breeds AKC mini-dachshunds and AKC great Pyrenees. Parrots come into the mix as a part time endeavor. On the human side, Pamela has four children. A retired CPA, Pamela also volunteers as the community outreach coordinator for LCBA (honey bees) and Italian club of Olympia.
Ange Garrett (2028)
Mercer Island Farmers Market
Ange Garrett is the Market Manager of the Mercer Island Farmers Market, where she oversees vendors, logistics, chalkboards, and community magic each week. Farming runs in her family, and some of her earliest memories are helping her grandpa sell tomatoes at a small farmers market in Williamstown, MA. With a background in nonprofits and live events, she’s always dreaming up new ideas to make the market more fun, welcoming, and memorable. Her love language is creativity and fresh ideas, and when she’s not at the market, you’ll usually find her reading, traveling somewhere new, or baking something delicious.

Kelli Diann grew up on a cattle and tobacco farm in Appalachia, on the state line of Virginia and West Virginia. Farmers markets have been ever present in her life, from attending with her Granddad, working for vendors, and now managing the Issaquah Farmers Market. She and her wife enjoy tending their urban garden with their dog. Helping small businesses succeed is what lights her up! Seeing Washington farms, farmers, and their families grow and thrive is what motivates her in work and service.

Amanda Milholland (2028)
Jefferson County Farmers Markets
Amanda has worked with nonprofit organizations since 2004 as an educator, program developer, fundraiser, and grant manager. Aligning her passions for local food, community building, and the arts with her nonprofit work, Amanda has been involved with the local food system in various capacities and roles. She loves her work as the executive director of the Jefferson County Farmers Markets which runs the Port Townsend and Chimacum Farmers Markets. Since 2015, Amanda has supported her markets’ food access programs, business development opportunities for vendors, and fostering organizational stability and growth. As a farmers market director, Amanda appreciates WSFMA’s support to farmers markets and is pleased join the board of directors.
Jerry Shackette, President (2027)

Jerry is originally from Spokane and enjoyed many years in public relations and the hospitality business before accepting a faculty position at College of the Ozarks near Branson, Missouri. He led the Hotel and Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts programs at this liberal arts work college beginning in 1997. Jerry moved “back home” to the Pacific Northwest in 2015. He is currently Development / Program Manager at Friendship House in Mount Vernon which is the primary provider of services for the homeless in Skagit County. Jerry currently serves as a serves as a development associate working remotely. In 2015 Jerry served as a volunteer market info booth worker, board member, two-term treasurer, and completed two terms as Board President for the Mount Vernon Farmers Market.
Kathy Solberg (2027)
Community Member
Kathy is a community weaver, experienced consultant, executive director and systems thinker with a demonstrated history of working to empower others through professional and personal leadership development, civic engagement and a deeper understanding of how to navigate communication and workplace systems to create greater efficiency. As a consumer, she values farmers markets’ role as a place to gather, know the origins of your food as well as those who work to bring it to you. Kathy is excited to offer her expertise and learn from others how to best make a difference through her commitment to the board of directors.
