Oregon Farmers Markets Association: Executive Director
Oregon Farmers Markets Association (OFMA) is ready to bring an Executive Director into their organization to support their current staff and board in meeting the needs of farmers markets statewide. The Executive Director serves as the chief administrator of OFMA and is responsible for the execution and implementation of many association services, including finance, fundraising, staff management and board collaboration. The Executive Director also acts as a key communication link between members, staff and other organizations. Internal facing responsibilities will be priority in the first few months of the role. Once solidified, the Executive Director’s focus will shift toward externally focused responsibilities including coalition building, partnership development, and promotions of OFMA services, membership, and the value farmers markets bring to Oregon’s food systems. OFMA is partnering with Nonprofit Professionals Now to support in filling this key leadership position. Poulsbo Farmers Market: Farmers Market Assistant
The Poulsbo Farmers Market is currently hiring two Market Assistants. They are seeking individuals who are passionate about local agriculture, food access in the community, and supporting small businesses. Market Assistants are responsible for maintaining and supporting onsite operations for the market and assist with setup and breakdown. Additionally, Market Assistants welcome and act as liaisons to vendors and community members, including processing market booth sales, providing guidance, and answering questions about the Poulsbo Farmers Market. The Market Assistant is a part-time seasonal position available mid-March to mid-December. There is the potential for light work in our off-season (January-March) to support the Market Manager.
