FMNP for Markets & Growers

Market managers: You must submit an application and attend trainings to receive authorization for accepting FMNP. Trainings are offered at WSFMA conferences or through direct arrangement with Washington State Department of Health (DOH). If your market is not currently participating in FMNP and is interested, please contact Katherine Flores or email FMNPTeam@doh.wa.gov.

Growers: You must submit an application to the DOH and agree to a contract in order to accept WIC and Senior FMNP checks. Your market manager can help you process checks you receive. Since you are not allowed to give change for an FMNP check, please consider giving the customer extra produce if their transaction is not for the full value of their check.
